Rugiada designed by ddpstudio is an irrigator for gardens and vegetable patches. It measures the humidity in both the soil and air, and allows the user to set the quantity and type of vegetables being grown, and determine the daily amount of water needed.
How it works:
The device is placed in the soil and the user selects the type of vegetable and size of the patch using the dial.
“Rugiada” processes the data provided by the sensors and determines the most suitable type of watering technique: nebulising spray, drip or rotating sprinkler.
The project won the EXPOnenti 2015 – Il Pensiero della Mano – Competition in partnership with Bosch Italia and sponsored by Expo 2015.
